Master Allen Johnson of class XI D got selected for KVPY The "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research

Manirsha , Class XI C got first prize in the Regional Level Science Exhibition held at Pattom under the theme Community and Health

Kumari Anjana S, of Class VIII D has been selected for Cultural Scholarship 2010 in Bharatanatyam by Centre of Cultural Resources and Training, an autonomous organization for the propagation of culture among School and College students of the country under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is one of the four students from Kerala who got selection for Cultural Scholarship in Bharatanatyam this year.

Archana E and Georgina Ettiyil of our Vidyalaya were selected as "Gems of the Seed Project " conducted by Mathrubhoomi Daily.

Akash S participated in Intenational Youth Conference at Brazil.

My Trip To Brazil
We were total 8 people in Delhi. Uditha, Omkar from Maharashtra, Mrinmoy from Assam, Malvika from gudhghaw, shithi from hydrabad, shanny from Minicoy Island, shreyash from chandighar,Amulya the youth facilitator from hydrabad and myself. Each had their own projects and their own views. Every members of our group were ambitious. They all were in a competitive spirit. We stayed in the N.I.E guesthouse. Jaishree mam was one of our guide who instructed us about the conference. We had several workshops and classes during that time. They taught us to make puppets and to do puppet shows. We maid poster, cartoon and also practiced some Indian patriotic songs and some cultural songs. During the seven days of time we went for Delhi darshan. We saw jantar mantar, quitub minar, the tombs of great mugal rulers and went to temples. We spent a day in the Teri office, Livleen mam guided us about the trip and about the conference. Then at last we left Delhi to Dubai through emirates within 3 hours. We went around the Dubai airport, such a beautiful airport which cannot be seen anywhere. We then went to Brazil through emirates. We saw cinemas, played games and had fun in the flight.

My trip to Brazil is one of the wonderful event that has taken place in my life. A conference, which has provided me a stage to present my talent. Some people say that money is more important, but money has no value when 800 boys and girls get together and act together. There were students from 53 different countries along with their guide. Each country had its own tradition and diverse culture. The main aim of the conference was to find a perfect way to protect our planet from the devastating natural calamities in long run. This could only happen when all the ideas of children get together. This was to be done in the form of responsibilities and actions. A responsibility which each citizen should take it into their shoulder. Which is to be then made into actions.

There were different workshops and also a stage were the children could present their culture and tradition through dance forms and dramas. I participated in the journalistic workshop. There was a speech competition for the students in the journalistic workshop. It was a tight competition, at last myself and a boy from Germany delegation got selected to present a speech in the president building of Brasilia under the education commission of Brasilia. I was the one and only boy presenting whole India and Indian kendriya vidyalaya sangathan in the president building of Brasilia. I gave a speech about the biodiversity. I got a hand full of applause. And after the speech, the Deputy Education Commission lawyer asked me to take his interview. A golden opportunity that cannot be rejected. Though, he had only 5 minutes to talk with me. I did the maximum utilization of that particular 5 precious minutes. It was really a thing of honor for me. Then, I also interviewed haquel the main organizer of this conference. After seeing my speech, she changed from journalistic workshop to the international children charter of responsibilities.

Though, these are some of my achievements, but my participation in the conference is a great achievement than them. After participating in the conference, I came to know how much cruelty we have done towards our mother earth and what we are doing. We have only one earth to live, it is a universal truth. But if we destroy it, our future existence will be impossible. We have planed to act together, forming environmental circles, spreading awareness and making the people aware about the consequence. So we are the one and only humans who can make a difference at the present situation.
